What's Going On
On January 16th
there will be a Martin Luther King Jr.
service held at 1st
Presbyterian Church in Sterling beginning at 6:00 p.m. This is being
sponsored by the YWCA. Refreshments will be served following the
program. This service is not ecumenically but interfaith.
This Thursday
is our night to serve at PADS.
There are lots of open spots to sign-up to help with food and to
work a shift. Please consider helping out this month.
Northern
Illinois Synod Ski Trip
When: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 17, 2011; Where: Chestnut
Mountain Resort, Galena, IL; Cost: Lift only - $25.00, Lift, Lesson,
Rental (ski or snowboard) - $45.00; Meal Deal - $8.00. Register
directly this year with Chestnut Mountain. See the posted flyer or
your January newsletter for the website and instructions on how to
register.
All members
should have, or should soon,
received a copy of the Annual Report. Please bring your copy with
you to church next Sunday, January 23, for the Annual Business
Meeting.

– St. John’s Youth is hosting Pizza and Ping-Pong on Sunday, January
23, from 5:30-9:00 p.m. Bring $5.00 for pizza, this includes your
drink.
January Food Pantry needs: please bring in toiletry
products; lotion, deodorant, powder, feminine products, baby
diapers, etc. Your cash donations and boxes of breakfast cereal are
always welcomed. Place items in the baskets located by the
entrances.
